Premixed Remedies: Beautiful Hair - Blond

Contains: Chamomile, nettle, horsetail/shavegrass, oatstraw

Here is an herbal hair treatment to be applied directly to your blond hair.

The herbal properties penetrate only the broken part of the hair shafts, leaving damaged hair looking full, shiny, and healthy. The more damaged the hair, the more startling the results.

This treatment does not cover gray or change hair color. Instead, the high silicon content in the Horsetail fills in the damaged strands, taking with it the subtle colors found in Chamomile and other herbs. The Nettle nourishes your scalp, and leaves the hair looking and feeling full and rich. When light hits your hair, the clear silicon, with just a touch of natural earth colors, causes a brilliant shine.

This hair treatment is messy. It almost looks and smells like cow slobber when it is on your hair. My girls call it Magic Slime because it is green and slimy (they use Beautiful Hair - Dark). Oh, but it is worth it!

I’d suggest you do this when you know you will not be having company, because the odor lingers until shampooed. You might wait until your husband is not around either. He will enjoy the results much better if he doesn’t have to look at or smell the process.

A woman with medium length, medium thickness hair, will need to use 1/4 cup of the herb mix. Some with short, thin hair will only need 1 or 2 tablespoons. Because the short hair will need less of the mix, it will also need less liquid added to it. I will give you a basic recipe for 1/2 cup, which is what is needed for long, full hair. If you require more or less, you will need to adjust the amount of ingredients accordingly.

Recipe

  • 3/4 cup of lemon or vinegar (use lemon for lighter highlights, or vinegar for red/darker highlights)
  • 1/2 cup of Beautiful Hair - Blond
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil or mayonnaise (optional)

Directions

In a small pot, mix the lemon or vinegar with the Beautiful Hair - Blond herbal mix. Heat the mixture on the stove for about 5 minutes (don’t let it boil).

Let the mixture cool for about 5 minutes, and mix in the 2 beaten eggs. For those of you with dry hair, add the 2 tablespoons of olive oil or mayonnaise. A bit of lavender or rosemary ground into powder can also be added to the treatment at this time to give it a faint, pleasant scent.

Apply the treatment to your hair, ensuring you cover the most damaged parts. Keep the mixture warm by placing a plastic bag over your hair, and wrapping a warm, damp towel around your head.

Leave it on for 45 minutes or so (the longer the better). As the towel cools, you’ll want to warm it up again to get the most out of the treatment.

Without shampooing, rinse your hair, and air dry. Use shampoo the following day. However, if you added the oil or mayonnaise, you may want to shampoo before bedtime to avoid getting the oil on your bedding.

With proper care, this treatment will last a few months.

What a great way to naturally restore health to my hair and shine too!

This worked fantastically on my daughter's dry curly hair! It was also a fun mother-daughter project to do, even though it was a gooey mess.

:)

Thanks so much!
