Beautiful Hair Mix - Red

Herbal Mixes: Beautiful Hair - Red

Contains: Nettle Horsetail Shavegrass Oatstraw Henna

Short Description:

The herbal properties of this treatment penetrate only the broken parts of the hair shafts, leaving damaged hair looking healthy and full. The clear silicon creates a brilliant shine and nettle nourishes your scalp. This treatment brings out lovely highlights but does not cover gray hair. The Dark and Red mixtures contain nettle, oatstraw, henna, and horsetail/shavegrass. Strawberry Blonde contains henna, chamomile, nettle, oatstraw, and horsetail/shavegrass. Blonde contains chamomile, nettle, oatstraw, and horsetail/shavegrass.

Here is an herbal hair treatment to be applied directly to your red hair.

The herbal properties penetrate only the broken part of the hair shafts, leaving damaged hair looking full, shiny, and healthy. The more damaged the hair, the more startling the results.

This treatment does not cover gray or change hair color. Instead, the high silicon content in the Horsetail fills in the damaged strands, taking with it the subtle colors found in Chamomile and other herbs. The Nettle nourishes your scalp, and leaves the hair looking and feeling full and rich. When light hits your hair, the clear silicon, with just a touch of natural earth colors causes a brilliant shine.

This hair treatment is messy. It almost looks and smells like cow slobber when it is on your hair. My girls call it Magic Slime because it is green and slimy (they use Beautiful Hair - Dark). Oh, but it is worth it!

I’d suggest you do this when you know you will not be having company, because the odor lingers until shampooed. You might wait until your husband is not around either. He will enjoy the results much better if he doesn’t have to look at or smell the process.

A woman with medium length, medium thickness hair, will need to use 1/4 cup of the herb mix. Some with short, thin hair will only need 1 or 2 tablespoons. Because the short hair will need less of the mix, it will also need less liquid added to it. I will give you a basic recipe for 1/2 cup, which is what is needed for long, full hair. If you require more or less, you will need to adjust the amount of ingredients accordingly.

Recipe

  • 3/4 cup of lemon or vinegar (use lemon for lighter highlights, or vinegar for red/darker highlights)
  • 1/2 cup of Beautiful Hair - Red
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil or mayonnaise (optional)

Directions

In a small pot, mix the lemon or vinegar with the Beautiful Hair - Blond herbal mix. Heat the mixture on the stove for about 5 minutes (don’t let it boil).

Let the mixture cool for about 5 minutes, and mix in the 2 beaten eggs. For those of you with dry hair, add the 2 tablespoons of olive oil or mayonnaise. A bit of Lavender or Rosemary ground into powder can also be added to the treatment at this time to give it a faint, pleasant scent.

Apply the treatment to your hair, ensuring you cover the most damaged parts. Keep the mixture warm by placing a plastic bag over your hair, and wrapping a warm, damp towel around your head.

Leave it on for 45 minutes or so (the longer the better). As the towel cools, you’ll want to warm it up again to get the most out of the treatment.

Without shampooing, rinse your hair, and air dry. Use shampoo the following day. However, if you added the oil or mayonnaise, you may want to shampoo before bedtime to avoid getting the oil on your bedding.

With proper care, this treatment will last a few months.

Hair repair!
by Elizabeth on Sep 8, 2014

I'm a wildland fire fighter and just got off a 18 day stint on a huge fire in CA. That being said living in smoke, sleeping on the ground and maybe maybe getting a shower every other day does a number on your hair! I ordered this prior to the fire and used it today. Awesome! My hair is softer and dead ends not as knarly. I have medium/dark brown hair and get red/blonde highlights in the summer. This brought out my highlights beautifully and reduced frizz. Haha buyer be warned your hair will smell like cow spit for a bit (worth it!)

I purchased the red highlight kit and will try it this weekend. I am wondering if it will help to correct oily hair?

Hello, personally I have found that it helps with decreasing oiliness in hair, however every head of hair is different so your hair may have slightly different results. Thanks!

I have dark brown hair and have always loved deep reddish hair. I would like to have red highlights through out my hair. Will this product help me achieve that? Thank you for your time.

    Hello,
This mix will help to pull any natural red highlights that you have. It may put some faint red highlights in your hair if your hair doesn't have them naturally in it. Thanks and Enjoy!!

covering gray
by debbie baker on Jan 1, 2014

I used the Beautiful Hair-Dark and loved the results. I used leftover coffee....already brewed and it definitely covered the gray. I used to use only henna, and found out that using coffee instead of water did the trick as far as covering the gray. But this herbal combination is much better than plain henna. A great product!

It does cover gray!:)
by Miriam on Nov 20, 2013

I started using Beautiful Hair-Red, and love it! I am a natural red-head, and have, for a long time, wanted something to cover my gray and found it! Debbi Pearl told me if I use it 4 weeks in a row it will dye, and it does. But I would like it just a bit darker. How could I do that?
God bless you for educating people in the way God intended!

    Hello!
So glad you like it! If you'd like it a bit darker you might want to try adding a little Henna to it. Just be careful because Henna can be pretty strong.

So worth the money!

I bought this product as an experiment. Shoshanna's video inspired me and I was curious so I thought it was worth the try. I used to have perpetually greasy hair but I also had dandruff/psoriasis. It didn't matter what shampoo or conditioner I used, when I used, or in what combination I used them. I could not take care of both problems with one shampoo as when I would try to condition my scalp, my hair would become more greasy and when I tried to get my hair clean, my dandruff would get worse! Now, I am using a natural shampoo and conditioner maybe twice a week (sometimes less) in addition to Beautiful Hair about twice a month just when I feel like I need it. My family saw a difference that was like night and day the first time I used it and I KNEW it was worth every penny after that. My hair is shiny, not as frizzy, not greasy and I feel like my red hair is a gift now instead of a pain! I don't know if there is some fancy shampoo out there that might give me the same results, but even if there was, I think I would still prefer using Beautiful Hair and natural shampoo because I know I'm not stripping my hair of its oils --instead I'm balancing it and adding the nutrients it needs to be healthy. I'm so happy with this product and I recommend it to everyone!

P.S.: I do grind dried lavender or rosemary into a powder and add it to the Beautiful hair powder just to make it smell a bit better.
