Cloves - Whole Organic

Herbs: Cloves - whole, organic

Common Name: Clove
Latin Name: Syzygium aromaticum
Origin: Sri Lanka

Clove is a perfect breath freshener because it kills the bacteria that causes odor and leaves the mouth clean tasting and smelling. Its main component, eugenol, is a powerful multifaceted phytochemical.

From Our Reading and/or Experience...

  • This is not like the Clove you may find on a spice rack in a supermarket. It is much fresher and more effective.
  • Like most spices, it is potent and a little goes a long way. Nonetheless, we do go wild with it.
  • We use it often in tea and tincture combinations pertaining to circulatory issues or infections in the body. Of course, it can be used in many other types of remedies. Such as, grinding it and filling capsules with it.
  • Cloves are a food and spice. Thus, we keep it in the kitchen as all other food ingredients. We add it (ground) to many dishes (salads, meat dishes, stir fry, vegetables, etc.) to enhance the flavor and add nutritional value to our foods.
  • Cloves can be used to benefit anyone: men, women (including before, during or after pregnancy, and nursing), children and animals.
  • It can be used as often as you would like, and in any way you choose.
  • As is the case with most spices, Cloves should be stored in a dark, dry, and cool place.

Hi I was just wondering if the cloves you sell are fair trade in addition to being organic.

Thanks!

Relieves pain!
by Vanessa Reinhardt on Jun 11, 2012

I have a partially broken molar and am waiting for get it fixed. In the meantime, it can be a bit painful if a piece of food gets back there near the nerve. The feeling is unreal! I got desperate and stuck an entire little clove right in there, and within a minute or two, I felt nothing. I didn’t believe it at first! The oil that released from the bulbous end were what I believe to have caused the relieve, though the stick part was useful for biting down to hold it in place and released a nice scent and mild taste. The flavor from the bulbous end is a bit strong, but it was worth the relief it gave. Cloves are a fabulous gift from our great Physician!

Relieves urinary tract infection
by Gay Marie on Nov 12, 2009

I have been using cloves that I grind and cap myself for parasites and to my surprise they have taken care of yet another issue I have dealt with for the last 5 or so years. I was constantly having painful UTI's, a challenge for us women as we get older, and to my surprise, I haven't had even one since I started on the cloves. It has been a huge relief for me. This has been the only thing I have changed in my daily regimen so I can only assume the relief is from the cloves. Perhaps this may help other ladies.

YEAH - you have a website - It is done so nicely - I just love it, and will share it with all who think I'm an herbal quack! A huge thanks for your products - I'm a big fan and try to "sell" others on the idea of herbs any chance I get. I have 4 small children and we haven't been to the Dr. for sickness in 2 years!! Some have never had a sick visit!! IT WORKS!
