Fire & Cordage DVD

John & Geri McPherson, internationally known as experts in the field of Primitive Technology, are currently involved in an ongoing program of teaching primitive skills to the Survival Istructors of the U.S. Army Special Forces S.E.R.E. School.

Learn to make fire by rubbing two sticks together!
In this video John & Geri teach you how to make FRICTION FIRE using only the materials nature has to offer. This includes in-depth instructions for using a HAND DRILL and a BOW DRILL and a demonstration of the BAMBOO FIRE SAW. Also, you will learn how to gather and prepare fibers and make them into string. Plus, you'll learn how to make a BOW STRING from deer sinew.

Out of the three Prairie Wolf videos that we carry, I found this one the most fascinating. I've read several books on how to build fire with the bow and stick friction method, and although I got a lot of smoke, I was never able to produce a flame. With this video, it was a breeze! These instructions are so clear, you will have the confidence that, if the need arises, you will be able to build a fire.

...and I also want to tell you how much my husband loves your Black Tea (and how much I love brewing sweet tea for him instead of buying the walmart junk!).
