Henna Leaf (red) - Powder

Herbs: Henna Leaf (Red) - Powder, Wild Crafted

Common Name: Henna
Latin Name: Lawsonia inermis
Origin: Pakistan

Henna is best known as a natural dye for the hair. Our research has shown that henna not only colors hair, but its conditioning properties help bring body, life and vibrancy back to dry or damaged hair. Henna permeates the hair shaft to strengthen and enrich your hair, giving it a distinctive, natural radiance not found with chemical-based coloring.

From Our Reading and/or Experience...

  • Henna can be used to benefit anyone: men, women (including before, during or after pregnancy, and nursing), children and animals.
  • It can be used as often as you would like.
  • As is the case with most herbs, Henna should be stored in a dark, dry, and cool place.

    Hello,
Although I haven't heard of any of our customers using it for tatoos, I would assume that you could. Thanks!

We have never tried using it for tattoos but I would assume it could be used for that as it is high quality henna powder.
    Thank you!

henna

My hair is off black mixed with grey. (not quite salt & pepper) How does henna cover grey? Should I mix it with walnut hull powder which I have not tried yet but I want a dark brown color so the grey is not so white. Thanks

    Hello,
It seems to depend a little on your hair type. I've heard it can turn the gray a bright orange on some hair instead of darkening so you might want to experiment on a small section of hair first. Some people mix indigo with henna for a dark dye. You can find more information by searching online to see what other people have tried. Thank you!

Amount to add for hair treatment
by Leslie on Dec 22, 2013

I was wanting to add some more henna to the beautiful hair dark treatment but I don't want to add too much. Any advice on actual amounts? Tablespoon? Qtr cup?

If you are trying to attain red highlights I would recommend adding 1/8 of a cup of henna to 1/2 cup of beautiful hair treatment and test that mixture out on a small part of your hair and see if you like it. Thanks!

Other colors?
by Miriam on Dec 12, 2013

We really like the idea of coloring hair in a healthy way!! Do you have any other colors of Henna? Where can a person get other colors, or is red the only color? Thank you!

Will henna dye all of my hair?
by Kayte on Nov 19, 2013

I have naturally dirty blonde hair, and I have dyed it dark brown with black and red streaks. Can I use henna to help brighten and bring out the red highlights, or will it dye over my brown hair? Thanks!

    Hello!
I would suggest dying a strand of hair and seeing how it turns out before you dye your hair entirely. I don't think Henna would completely cover over your dark brown hair but each head of hair is different. Thanks!

Love Henna!
by Hannah on Oct 22, 2013

I have used this to dye my hair a number of times and I love it! I am getting ready to use it with a friend and she is concerned that she won't be able to dye over it if she doesn't like the red. She currently has dark dyed hair. Does anyone have any resources or advice about dying over Henna to cover it?

    Hello,
It would all depend on your hair type! Some have said it is better to wait a couple days before dying right over, while others have had no problem. I would suggest dying a strand of hair and seeing how it turns out before you dye your hair entirely. Thanks!

good henna for a good price
by angela on Sep 13, 2013

I really like this henna. It left my hair a bit orange, or copper, but that's the color I was trying to achieve. A little bit gritty but fairly quick dye release time. And for the price it is well worth it. The $11 and change I spent on the product with shipping will give my mid back length hair a few applications. I'm tempted to stock up on this product. Thank you for providing a good product at an awesome price.

Henna for hair
by Vampy on Jun 7, 2013

I color my hair with henna because I'm allergic to hair dye and ended up in the ER. The proper way to use it is to mix it with water the night before in a plastic or ceramic bowl. Make it as thick as pancake batter. Cover it to let it sit over night to release the dye. The next day wash your hair twice and while it's still wet coat your hair with it. Cover your head with a shower cap, wrap your neck with a towel and let it sit for several hours. You can even heat your head up with a blow dryer with the shower cap on. When you're ready, wash your hair a couple times to get it all out. Blow dry and style as usual. It should last in your hair for over a month until it's time to do it again. If you want a darker color get indigo and mix some into your henna and you will have reddish brown hair.

THE REAL HAIR COLOR
by Stacy on Mar 11, 2013

I love your henna, I use to get boxes of red color at the store and it would not last even for 6 weeks and my gray was showing up in 2 weeks again.
I bought your henna last May and tried it , I love the way u can leave it as long as u want in your hair and it didn't make my scalp burn and itch and I was finally the redhead I always wanted to be lol! It also got rid of my dandruff too believe it or not. Love it! Ty Bulkherbstore! Stacy of Bailey, MS

My son has severe weeping acne.He refused the traditional acne meds and if you read the side effects,so would you.I researched and found a natural way to heal his acne, God is soo good!! This is our protocol:

A.M.- Mix 1/2 tsp.each of Pau D'Arco bark, burdock root, and alfalfa (all
powdered) in a little applesauce or yogurt. Use diluted tea tree oil(1/4 tsp. to 1/4 cup water) on face, shoulders, back or wherever needed.

Noon-repeat a.m. remedy - plus make a strong infusion of 1/4cup each of red clover tops, dandelion root, yellow dock root, and a little peppermint for taste steeped in 1 quart of boiling water for 45 minutes. Strain off herb solids and sweeten with stevia and drink throughout the day.

P.M.-repeat a.m. remedy.

These herbs cleanse the blood, support the liver and the tea tree oil is an natural antibiotic and antiseptic.

We have had tremendous results using these herbs. We are so thankful for the God given herbs.
