One of my three favorite herb books!

I've really benefitted from reading this book and I find myself referring back to it over and over again. My 13 and 11 year old girls have even enjoyed it. It makes a great herbal-health introduction book for anyone. I'd like to find more of Gladstar's books.

I love this book, it made my life so much easier. Rosemary Gladstar's show her love for herbs in every single line. Amazing!!!

preventative book rather than curative

I love this book. It's more of a cozy read than a quick reference guide, I find, but Rosemary writes in such a gentle way about using herbs that it's quite fun to curl up with a mug of tea and this book. While there are a lot of recipes for curing common ailments, this most addresses using herbs and recipes for staying healthy - as the title describes, for vibrant health. If you're looking for a guide to many treatments for illnesses, I recommend the A-Z reference book, Prescription For Natural Healing. But Rosemary is great for daily use.
