Mama's Red Raspberry Brew - Organic

Herbal Mixes: Mama's Red Raspberry Brew - Organically Grown Herbs

Contains Natural Caffeine Free: Red raspberry, alfalfa, nettle, peppermint

When I was carrying my babies, I kept a pitcher of Red Raspberry tea made up in the refrigerator so I could drink several glasses a day.

Red Raspberry leaf has a medically proven and trusted track record in helping strengthen the womb of a pregnant woman, and it is also reported to be effective in restoring the womb after delivering.

I mixed in some Alfalfa so I could double the nutritional value of my daily tea. If I felt bloated, like I was holding water, I would add Nettle leaf to the tea. Peppermint was added for flavor and to aid digestion.

After your baby is born try some of Mama's Milk Tea It will help nursing mamas increase your milk supply and the nutritional value of your milk.

Ladies, while you are fixing some up for yourself, serve your man some too. Red Raspberry has very positive medicinal affects on men as well. Increased fertility for instance. That's why animal breeders add Red Raspberry to feed to increase male fertility. Oh, and they'll love the taste. Your man may grow to like it above all other teas. It's one of the favorites in our house.

Directions

You can make a cup of hot tea by adding 1 or 2 teaspoons of the premixed herbs to 1 cup of boiling water. Let it steep for 5 to 10 minutes, strain, and add honey (raw is best) to taste.

To make a pitcher of tea for storing in the refrigerator, use 10 teaspoons or so of the premixed herbs for 8 cups of boiling water. Let it cool for a while and strain. Discard the used herbs, and put the tea in the refrigerator to drink over ice or reheated.

From Our Reading and/or Experience...

"Seven years ago there was a flurry of warnings over the web not to use large amounts of raspberry leaf(only European raspberry) during early pregnancy. I always take the safe road, so I cautioned pregnant ladies to only drink a cup or two a day of raspberry until they were 5 months along. Now trusted researchers go on record as saying that Raspberry is safe for pregnant women. Two sources that are respected and helpful are GrowingLife.com and AmericanPregnancy.org." Debi Pearl

  • This dry herb mixture can also be made into a tincture. As a tincture it would be more effective than as a tea. However, we prefer it as a tea because of its great flavor.
  • Mama's Red Raspberry Brew can be used to benefit men, women (including before, during or after pregnancy, and nursing), and children.
  • It can be used as often as you would like, and in any way you choose.
  • As is the case with most herbs, this mixture should be stored in a dark, dry, and cool place. Refrigeration or freezing is great, but certainly not necessary. Following these suggestions will delay the loss of its highly valued nutritional and medicinal properties.

The results are amazing!
by Lori on May 11, 2014

I drank this red raspberry brew through out my 3rd pregnancy, I did not drink it with the 1st two & WOW! The birth was wonderful & I have an extremely healthy little boy but what amazed me most was my own body & how quickly it went back into shape! At my babies 2week check up the doctor commented that you couldn't even tell I had a baby. My body bounced back better than I could've imagined & the only thing I did different with this pregnancy was drink this tea. Thank u for providing such a healthy tea that not only helped my baby be healthier but also helped a mama of 3 feel good about herself. May God bless you!

How to Brew
by Katie on Apr 1, 2014

Hi,
I watched the video on brewing this tea, when you brew it in the coffee pot do you put the tea in a tea bag or use a filter? ...Also I've always enjoyed raspberry tea that you get from restaurants and stores but I'm now looking for a natural one and I came across yours. I enjoy cold teas and definitely on the sweeter side, so do you add sugar to it? Is it naturally a little sweeter?

    Re: How to Brew
by Bulk Herb Store on Apr 2, 2014

    Hello,
We use a filter. It makes it super easy to combine your own tea blends! We usually add raw to sweeten it! You could also just add some stevia leaves to make it sweet too.

Water bag
by Kelly James on Mar 9, 2014

I recently purchased the mama tea because I had a previous miscarriage but I'm in my second trimester an my water bag has started leaking I want to know if it's safe enough to drink the tea or not ....

    Hello,
I would recommend that you ask your midwife or OB/GYN because they know you and your baby personally and what the root causes are. Thanks!

Need Clarification
by Anna on Feb 24, 2014

Hi! I ordered the Red Raspberry Brew almost two years ago now and have been on it throughout my last pregnancy and even post-pregnancy. We are expecting our third child now and I ran out of the tea a few days ago. However, I noticed I had actually ordered the Red Raspberry over the Mama's Red Raspberry. I am wondering - What is the difference in the two?

    Re: Need Clarification
by Bulk Herb Store on Feb 25, 2014

The Mama's Red Rasp. Brew has some other herbs included for added nutritional value, whereas the Red Rasp. by itself wouldn't have that added nutrition but would still be great for women's health. Thank you!

drinking this tea after giving birth
by Pamela on Feb 24, 2014

Thank you! I love this tea and have felt great since I started drinking it at the beginning of my 2nd trimester. I have asthma and am usually plagued by it during the fall and winter months but since drinking this tea daily I have not had any issues or even come down with a cold which I usually do several times during the season.
My question is can I still continue to drink this brew regularly after giving birth? Or will the peppermint affect my milk supply?

Re: drinking this tea after giving birth
by Bulk Herb Store on Feb 24, 2014

    Hello!
Since Red Raspberry is such a good herb for women's health, including healing after giving birth, it would be great to drink after birth. However, if you are concerned about it decreasing your milk supply, you could mix up your own without the peppermint, as peppermint may possibly reduce milk supply when taken in large amounts.
    Thank you!

help for hormones
by Jenell on Feb 21, 2014

Hi, I am currently breastfeeding my 12 mo. old (6th child), and am not cycling yet which is not typical for me. I feel healthy although am experiencing very low libido which is frustrating. I am wondering if maybe my hormone levels are not in line?? Is the red raspberry tea something that could be helpful for my situation?? TIA

    Re: help for hormones
by Bulk Herb Store on Feb 24, 2014

Although it is quite normal for most women not to get their cycle while breastfeeding, if you are concerned and would like to try something, personally I would give it a try as Red Raspberry is known to help balance female hormones, and is rich in vitamins. For more info. on herbs to balance hormones, and improve libido, you can do a Google search or check out the book "The Green Pharmacy" by James A. Duke Ph. D.

Peppermint?
by Statia on Feb 20, 2014

Hello!
I love this tea and started drinking it as soon as I entered second trimester. My question is, I've read that peppermint can interfere with milk production. I am now 33 wks. and wanted to continue drinking, but wondered if the peppermint in this blend would effect milk production consuming it close to delivery?
Thanks!

    Re: Peppermint?
by Bulk Herb Store on Feb 21, 2014

    Hello,
You should be just fine drinking up to like week 38. However, if you have any questions you could ask your midwife and she will be able to provide you with more info. Thanks!

Brewed Tea Storage
by Ryan on Feb 16, 2014

Thank you SO much for this wonderful tea! I drink several cups a day and absolutely love it... Because I drink so much I like to make it in big batches and drink the tea cold. My question is how many days can I store the tea in the refrigerator? Thank you!

    Re: Brewed Tea Storage
by Bulk Herb Store on Feb 17, 2014

Hello, it would last at optimum freshness for 3-4 days. You can keep it longer than that as long as it doesn't get a funky smell or develop mold on the top of the tea. Thanks!

Question

I have been researching and researching about red raspberry during pregnancy and I really to start drinking it. But I am currently 10 weeks pregnant, is it okay to start drinking it? Or should I wait till I'm in 2nd trimester since my body has not built up pre-pregnancy. I had a terrible labor and delivery with my first and so I'm hoping this could help this time around! Thanks!

Bad Menstrual Cycles

I have been having irregular menstrual cycles that has had me scared and depressed. I have always had bad cycles with cramps pain in my back and legs. And have always been a heavy bleeder. But having it more then a week is not normal for me. I have been looking for anything outside of taking birth control pills. I want to get pregnant this year so I bought some red raspberry tea from my local health store but after reading all of the testimonies on your website I want to purchase from you. Using both tea's
by Tish on Jan 16, 2014

Is there a benefit to buying both, mamma's tea and red raspberry? Will it harm me if I use both? I've never used either one?

    Re: Using both tea's
by Bulk Herb Store on Jan 20, 2014

Hello, absolutely not, it will not harm you to take both at the same time. The difference between the teas is not huge it's more just preference. The Red Raspberry is just the herb by itself. Where the Mama's Brew gives you the benefit of the Raspberry and other nutritionally dense herbs at the same time. Thanks!

How much should/can I drink??
by Emily on Jan 9, 2014

Hi I was wondering how much is ok to drink in a day? I just started drinking about 40-50 oz. I will be delivering in about a month.
Any suggestions?? Thanks!

Re: How much should/can I drink??
by Bulk Herb Store on Jan 13, 2014

Hello, you can drink as much as you like! This will only be good for you and your baby. However if you start to have pre-labor contractions just stop drinking so much. But 40-50 oz is just fine. Thanks!

The Red Raspberry will lower glucose levels and therefore must be used with caution for people who have diabetic issues. Thanks!

by veronica on Jan 1, 2014

Re: mama's Red Raspberry Brew vs regular organic red r
by Bulk Herb Store on Jan 3, 2014

Hello, The Mama's Brew simply contains more herbs than just Red Raspberry. It also contains alfalfa, nettle, and peppermint. Therefore it is a little bit more nutritionally dense and you get the added positive attributes of the other herbs. Thanks!

How long before trying to conceive?

by crystal hernandez on Dec 8, 2013

Hello my name is crystal i would like to know if the red rasberry tea would help me not to have a miscarried thank u

    Re: tea rasberry
by Bulk Herb Store on Dec 9, 2013

Hello, Red Raspberry will strengthen your uterus however you will want to start taking it well before you try to get pregnant again because in someone who has not been consistently drinking Red Raspberry it can cause slight contractions which can cause miscarriage.

question
by B on Nov 26, 2013

I just recently had an early miscarriage and we are trying to conceive again. I am wondering whether it is safe for me to drink this now. I am confused by the other comments- it seems it will help with fertility but possibly cause miscarriage, especially if I have already had one. Can you explain? I had two easy and healthy pregnancies before this one and am terrified of losing another pregnancy since I don't know what went wrong. Will this help or harm my situation?

    Re: question
by Bulk Herb Store on Nov 27, 2013

    Hello!
I am so sorry for your loss! Thank you for the question. If you have not been drinking Red Raspberry consistently prior to getting pregnant it can cause slight contractions which can cause a miscarriage. We recommend if you haven't been drinking it prior to getting pregnant to wait until your second trimester to start drinking it. However, on the fertility side, it will help male fertility if you want you man to take it you can get a good boost on that side. Good luck!

Relief!
by Britny on Nov 11, 2013

I am 8 months pregnant and have had a lot of cramping and sleepless nights the last two weeks. Three days ago My friend gave me a little sample of this tea to try, I have been drinking it two times a day. My cramping is reduced and I have slept great for the past three nights. I have already ordered my own! Can younger girls drink this as well? My daughter suffers from stomach issues etc... I wanted to let her try it. Any warnings with that?

    Re: Relief!
by Bulk Herb Store on Nov 11, 2013

    Hello,
So glad to hear it helped you! Yes, you can have your girls drink this! You could have them start drinking Red Raspberry Tea. It helps relieve cramping associated with periods. Thanks!

benefits for non-preggos?
by Christina on Nov 7, 2013

Hi, this might be an odd question but does this tea have any benefits (other than awesome(!) taste) for women that are not pregnant? I received my sample kit today and Mama's Red Raspberry Brew was part of it. I already LOVE the tatse, I would LOVE it even more if my non-preggo body would benefit from the ingredients as well!

    Re: benefits for non-preggos?
by Bulk Herb Store on Nov 8, 2013

    Hello!
You can definitely get benefits from the Mama's Red Raspberry Brew whether or not your pregnant. Here are just a few things these herbs are good for...
Raspberry Leaf contains many minerals and vitamins, including vitamin C and calcium. It also contains an alkaloid called fragrine, which lends tone to the uterus. The high concentration of Vitamin C in Raspberry Leaf makes it great during illness.
Alfalfa means "Father of all Foods." It has been called the king of plants because it is extremely rich in vitamins and minerals including iron, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, sulfur, chlorine, sodium, potassium, silicon, and trace elements.
A good source of carotene (Vitamin A) and a little known vitamin – Vitamin K.
Nettle is a blood purifier. Its long list of traditional uses can be summed up in its ability to increase the production of urine, its mild laxative effect and its ability to increase the efficiency of liver and kidney function.
Peppermint is one of the oldest and most popular remedies for simple colic and minor bloat in children and adults. Good for all digestive problems, helps stomach pain caused by indigestion and is soothing to the stomach.

How much tea does one 1/2 lb make?
by Carissa on Nov 7, 2013

I was wondering how many cups of tea one half pound bag would make if I used 2tsp/1c water?

Re: How much tea does one 1/2 lb make?
by Bulk Herb Store on Nov 8, 2013

Hello! We do not have the exact measurements down to answer that. There is approximately 3 to 3 1/2 cups per bag. Thanks!

Thank you!
by Jessica on Nov 1, 2013

I'm 24 weeks along with my 3rd pregnancy and I am not a tea drinker at all. I have never liked the taste of it. A few friends who recently had babies, and my midwife talked to me about this tea and how great it was. I was hesitant to purchase it, but so glad I did! I made a batch sweetened it with some honey a tad bit of sugar and put it in the fridge. It has excellent flavor! I was surprised how quickly it shipped too! Thank you!

How long will it last
by Helen on Oct 28, 2013

If I brew to refrigerate about how long is 1/2 a lb. going to last?

Re: How long will it last
by Bulk Herb Store on Oct 29, 2013

    Hello,
If you mean how long will it last made in as a tea and stored in the fridge, then I would say a week or so. I can't really tell you how long a 1/2 lb will last you since it all depends how often you drink it. Thanks!

Pregnant and Nursing
by Jenny on Oct 25, 2013

Is this okay to take while nursing? I am expecting my second child, but still nursing my 9 mo. old. Will the peppermint in it decrease my milk supply?

    Re: Pregnant and Nursing
by Bulk Herb Store on Oct 25, 2013

    Hello,
It all depends how much you are drinking. Peppermint, if taken in large amounts could lower milk supply. But it would be ok to drink a cup or two a day.

Nora tea?
by Emily on Oct 11, 2013

I bought this tea for my last pregnancy to make NORA (nettles, oat straw, red raspberry, and alfalfa) Tea. I had to buy the oat straw separate and just added it in, which I don't mind doing, but was wondering if you would think about making a mix of NORA tea for pregnant moms. There are very few places that I can find online to buy them all mixed together, in bulk for a good price, so I would think you would sell the mix easily.

    Re: Nora tea?
by Bulk Herb Store on Oct 11, 2013

    Hello,
Thank you for your recommendation! Since we already have this mix, it is very easy to add in the oatstraw, so at this time, I don't think we will be adding on to the Mama's Red Raspberry.

Response to Leah H
by Denise on Oct 3, 2013

I know it's been 2 months since you posted a question in regards to my comment and I'm so sorry I didn't see it - I haven't been back to this page for a while until today to place my re-order! :) As I said, I purchase the RRL, nettle and alfalfa separately in bulk. I don't have my measurements down to a science or anything but I use about 2 parts RRL to one part nettle and one part alfalfa (it fills my infuser basket to the top.) That makes for about 32 oz of tea. On most days, I will drink between 8-16 oz and on others, all of the 32 oz. I haven't noticed any difference in the results I get when I drink any less. Actually, I have went many days during a month w/out drinking it and I am still getting the menstrual benefits from it. I am still absolutely thrilled and cannot wait until my one year GYN follow up appt in Jan 2014 to brag on this remedy (and Bulk Herb Store too, of course!) ;)

A miracle
by Ginger on Sep 29, 2013

I am 43 and perimenopausal. Periods were 10 days long with spotting in between. Mirena iud helped with heavy bleeding and cramping but did not manage the hormonal shifts that caused the long periods. I began drinking raspberry tea last month, 2 cups a day. Period has gone from 10 days to 3!! Minimal spotting and has returned to every 28 days instead of 21 days. I recommend this to any woman facing menopause who's period has gone haywire. I also have fibroids which was making things even worse. I am so happy to have a non prescription remedy that actually works. The tea lessened my cramps and I didn't even know I had my period at first. I just can't say enough...

Can I drink it during 3rd trimester?
by Janica on Sep 22, 2013

Hi,
I bought the tea, I am almost 34 weeks pregnant, but having some preterm contractions. Will the tea help me for contractions to stop, or increase them?

Thank you!

Re: Can I drink it during 3rd trimester?
by Bulk Herb Store on Sep 24, 2013

    Hello,
The use of raspberry leaf tea to induce labor is popular primarily because it is known to tone the uterus muscles which makes the delivery easier. It does not induce labor, it merely helps when labor has started.
It also help in preventing leg cramps and anemia. Moreover, red raspberry leaf tea is also known to help the body recover faster after the delivery.

Menorrhagia - Excessive Bleeding
by Jennifer Anderson on Sep 10, 2013

I am 47 y.o. and I've always had a hard time with my periods. For the last 2 years, it has gotten worse with excessive bleeding and severe anemia because of it. I didn't realize this was what was happening until I had some blood work done and the doctor told me that I was severely anemic and she didn't see how I was functioning. About 6 months ago, it had gotten to the point of laying in the bed for 2 weeks just to get back to feeling semi normal and that was with taking quality iron supplements. I just cried out to the Lord because I knew at this point I would not be able to go through another month without going to the doctor or hospital. I had done some research and knew this would probably mean blood transfusions. I was having angina pain, couldn't get out of the bed to do more than make it to the restroom and I literally felt like some of my organs were shutting down. After being on the Bulk Herb Store website researching, I decided to give Mama's Red Raspberry Brew a try. I purchased it and started drinking one cup a day along with taking my iron one week before menstruation and was I ever blessed! This time instead of being down for 2 weeks, I was down for 2 days. I have continued this routine over the past several months and yes, I can confirm that it is the tea that's helping me because I've taken nothing else. I am now able to keep on the go throughout my period. I cannot tell you what a blessing it was to find this tea and I really don't know why it works so well for this but I am grateful to say that it does! Thank you Lord! Thank you for putting this tea together and I hope other women that suffer from this will see part of my review and find help as well. Blessings!

First trimester

How much?
by Emily on Aug 13, 2013

Hi! I'll be 33 weeks tomorrow and I'm wondering how much of this I should drink per day. I'm wondering because I don't know if 1/2lb will be enough to get me through the rest of my pregnancy or not. I've not been drinking or taking red raspberry tea capsules during this pregnancy.

Thanks!

    Re: How much?
by Bulk Herb Store on Aug 14, 2013

    Hello,
If you were in your first trimester, I would advise waiting till your second trimester to start drinking Mama's Red Raspberry. And start with 1 to 2 cups a day. By the time you reach your third trimester you can drink a quart a day. Since you are just starting to drink it, I would advice starting out with 2 cups and working your way up.

Love this tea!
by Justine on Aug 10, 2013

I bought this tea when I was pregnant with my first but I am not really a tea drinker and couldn't make myself drink everyday but I wanted the benefits of the herbs so I encapsulated the tea and took three pills in the morning and three at night. I had a very successful home birth; since it was my first I can't say for sure it was because of the tea but I'd like to think it helped! I am now pregnant again a year after my first and am excited to be using your tea again. Since my babies are pretty close I want to make sure my uterus is strong and healthy for my next birth. And this time for whatever reason I am loving the tea as a tea! I have been drinking a quart of it each day with honey for the past couple of days and it is so tasty to me this time! Which I am thankful for so that I don't have to go out to buy more pills lol! Thank you for this wonderful tea!

Yes, you can drink this now!

Thank you!
by Rachael on Jul 28, 2013

This tea is great! Not only does it taste good, it really does help with pregnancy and delivery. My first two babies were born at 37 & 38 weeks and I did not know about the tea back then. I drank this tea for the 2nd half of my third pregnancy. I really believe that it strengthened the uterus. The contractions weren't too bad and I had a great delivery. Not only that, but the baby stayed in and was born (naturally) on her due date! I've never made it to 40 weeks before. I'm drinking it now for fun because it tastes good. Thank you!

Strengthening uterus after D&C
by Becca on Jul 23, 2013

I have had 2 miscarriages in the past 3 and half months. I had a D&C after each miscarriage. I am wanting to give my body a few months to recover from the D&C's back to back before becoming pregnant again. I wanted to drink the red raspberry brew to strengthen my uterus in hope that my next pregnancy will be healthy and continue successfully. After learning that it might be best to be careful if you have had miscarriages and not start drinking the tea until the 2nd trimester, I was wondering if it would be ok to drink the tea for a couple months right now while not pregnant and then stop when I get pregnant or stop when we start trying again. I have 2 children and both were healthy pregnancies so I know it is possible for my body to carry a baby full term. I appreciate any knowledge you might have in this situation.

Menstrual cycle regulation / Anemia
by Denise on Jun 12, 2013

Just wanted to say how much I LOVE this combination! I purchased the Red Raspberry leaf, nettle and alfalfa separately (before I even saw this product!)and it has been an absolute miracle for me. My menstrual cycles were completely "off" for years (so close together, sometimes twice a month and SO heavy.) As a result, my hemoglobin was low (9.9)so I had also become anemic. My gyn wanted me to start BC pills to regulate my cycle which, in turn, would eventually eliminate the anemia. I didn't have a peace about that. While doing research on the internet one day, someone recommended the RRL/Nettle combination and Bulk Herb Store. I've been drinking the tea daily now for about 4 months and my last 3 periods have been "normal" (27 days apart instead of 20 or 21...no more heavy periods and they last about 5 days instead of 7-10!) I am totally grateful! In addition, my hemoglobin is on the rise. As of last week, it is now at an 11.4. Natural remedies are such a blessing!!

PERFECT!

This is such a refreshing brew! I usually do my herbal teas hot, but I tried this one cold with a little sweetener and it's drool-worthy.

Fibroid tumors
by Anna on May 17, 2013

Hello! Can you tell me if this tea will help with shrinking fibroid tumors?

    Re: Fibroid tumors
by Bulk Herb Store on May 17, 2013

According to what I have read, Red Raspberry can be used to help with fibroid tumors by toning and strengthening the uterine wall. You can read that here, plus some other herbs that can be helpful:

Is this tea safe during 1st trimester?
by Marjorie H on May 5, 2013

I ordered the making babies series and this tea. However, after watching the DVD pre-pregnancy and reading recipe in the book: there was caution to take this tea during the first trimester due to chance of miscarriage. But I read above in the description of the herb and the research behind being able to take this tea as much as you like. So I'm a little confused. I'm healthy, I eat all organic and drink and use a lot of your herbs, however I hvnt just drank this tea. So my question is: am I safe to drink this tea when I am in my first trimester?

Thanks in advance :-)

Re: Is this tea safe during 1st trimester?
by Bulk Herb Store on May 9, 2013

During the first trimester it is best to keep it at 1-2 cups per day, just to be on the safe side! However during the last trimester you can pretty much drink as much as you want, up to 4-6 cups per day.

Tincture Dose
by Audrey on Apr 15, 2013

I used your recipe to make this mix into a tincture. How much do you recommend ingesting in a day? And if I add it to hot water, how much should I add to a cup?

    Re: Tincture Dose
by Bulk Herb Store on May 1, 2013

I have not taken this in tincture form before, but with most tinctures we just start in with a small dose like 1/2 tsp. and add more as we feel we need it. I would prob. do that at least twice a day, depending on your conditions and what you are using it for. I would do the same if adding it to water.

How much per day?
by Stephanie on Mar 25, 2013

I just received my first order of mamas red raspberry brew and love it! I am 36 weeks and just wondering how much cups should I drink per day?

    Re: How much per day?

You can drink as much as 4-6 cups per day when you're that far along.

How much tea can this make
by Steph on Mar 19, 2013

How much cups of tea can an order of .5lbs make?

Re: How much tea can this make
by Bulk Herb Store on Apr 26, 2013

There is approx. 4 cups of dried herbs in .5 lbs. and we usually use 1-2 tsp. per cup so it should make quite a few! It depends on how much you use per cup of water.

Great Stuff!
by Anonymous on Feb 13, 2013

I am new to using herbs. When I made my first order, I mainly asked some of my friends what they recommended most. Almost all of them mentioned Mama's Red Raspberry Brew! So I went ahead and ordered some. Now here I am recommending it to all of YOU! =) It has been extremely helpful to me, especially during that certain time of the month we females have. ;) And my friends who used it during pregnancy have fallen in love with this stuff. I definitely want to use it when I am pregnant with my first kiddo. I don't necessarily want to publish in full detail why this brew has been so great. ...Just try it and find out for yourself!

Question about red rasp brew and fertility.
by Julie on Jan 29, 2013

In the info for this brew you mentioned its benefits in male fertility. Does it benefit in female fertility as well? Or would you recommend only your berry herbal brew for that?
Thanks!

Re: Question about red rasp brew and fertility.
by Bulk Herb Store on Apr 12, 2013

The red raspberry is considered as affective in women's fertility as much as in men's.

Tea Sweetner
by amanda wells on Jan 6, 2013

I am very excited to see all the comments about the great taste of this tea.....I am about to order my first package....I do have one question about the ways to sweeten tho.....I am from the south and as you probably know....we love our tea's sweet....I have tried a brand of raspberry leaf tea pregnancy blend (not yours) and it was extremly bitter to my taste....I am not a huge fan of honey...and I don't have much experience with herbal teas....can you add sugar to sweeten without compromising the health benefits....or are there any other natural ways to sweeten?

    Re: Tea Sweetner
by Bulk Herb Store on Mar 21, 2013

Hello! I would suggest using organic raw cane sugar or maple syrup for a sweetener. You can use regular sugar but its most definitely not good for you!

First Trimester?
by Amanda on Dec 21, 2012

I saw a comment that you should only drink small amounts in the first trimester and have also seen conflicting info about red raspberry leaf causing/preventing miscarriage. My sister in law had a miscarriage with her last pregnancy and is pregnant again. Would this be safe for her in early pregnancy?

    Re: First Trimester?
by Bulk Herb Store on Mar 21, 2013

If your sister has trouble with miscarriages I would suggest she be extra careful and only start with some red raspberry in her 2nd trimester. She can increase the amount in the 3rd trimester.

Peppermint and breastfeeding
by Margaret M on Dec 19, 2012

Will consuming this tea during the later stages of pregnancy affect breastfeeding? I've heard peppermint is not good for breastfeeding mothers.

    Re: Peppermint and breastfeeding
by Bulk Herb Store on Mar 21, 2013

I haven't heard of this before but its best to do your own research on it and make sure you are comfortable with using it.

Speedy Labor
by Jen on Dec 11, 2012

I have used your tea for almost 3 years. We just had our 4th child and I usually just drink this after birth. With this pregnancy I started drinking it at 35 weeks. I read a lot about drinking it while in labor to speed delivery. When I knew things were picking up I made a thermos of 2 strong cups of this tea. I waited to drink it in the parking lot of the hospital. I was holding my baby within an hour. What a great night!

Leaving out the Peppermint
by Suzy Q on Dec 11, 2012

I recently bought the herbs to put together a tea blend similar to yours (I just used your directions and recipe) However I find that that it causes me to have a feeling of reflux after drinking it. I've read that peppermint can cause this, and it's listed as something to avoid if you're having this problem which is often common in pregnancy.. I'm curious what the peppermint does for the blend, health-wise and if I could leave it out for the next batch I mix up without sacrificing the great results I read about. Thanks for being so generous with your knowledge and recipe

    Re: Leaving out the Peppermint
by Bulk Herb Store on Mar 21, 2013

Hello! You can see the benefits of peppermint under our bulk herbs. It is not necessary that the peppermint is in it however we add it for the flavor!

Hormones

Hi! Yes, I think red raspberry would be very helpful for her! She could also try Chaste Tree Berries.

question about Red Raspberry Brew
by Elisabeth on Jul 26, 2012

I'm 30 weeks pregnant with my first little baby. I just heard about this brew and ordered it. I'm consuming my first 8 cups today..... am I too late into the pregnancy for this to take effect or make a difference?
Thank you!

It should help you some but I would recommend to keep drinking it after the birth as well to help heal the body.

Love your book Making babies
by Lesley on Jul 24, 2012

I loved your book but this tea was in the book with how to brew it but not how to make it : ( I was wondering if you could tell me how many cups of each herb you use to make a bigger batch. I just realized it was a mix. I thought it was just Red raspberry leaf. Thank you : )

Increases milk supply
by Beth Long on Jun 20, 2012

Just wanted to thank you for this product. I've been having trouble pumping enough milk for my baby on the one day a week that I work. Even pumping on the off days wasn't cutting it. I remembered that I had a package of this from my New Mama and Baby Kit (which I LOVE). I started drinking it this week and I have more than enough milk for my 5 month old. This has also helped my energy levels and hydration status. I mix in some peppermint too and it tastes great hot or cold. Thanks!

Question about Red Raspberry Tea
by Mikki on May 19, 2012

How many cups of tea are most people drinking per day to have the effects they've been testifying about making their pregnancies easier? Is it the same amount throughout the whole pregnancy? And do you have other stories about it helping increase fertility, pre-pregnancy?

Re: Question about Red Raspberry Tea
by Bulk Herb Store on Dec 11, 2012

If you have not been drinking Red Raspberry before you got pregnant it is best to only drink a very small amount of this tea within the first 3 months. In your second semester you may start drinking a few cups a day and in your 3rd and very close to the end especially drink 1-2 quarts of tea a day. Red Raspberry is great to use to increase fertility as well!

Thanks!
by Christina S. on May 5, 2011

I just wanted to thank you for your wonderful Mamma's Red Raspberry tea! I had been trying to conceive for several years and was diagnosed with Recurrent Pregnancy Loss after several miscarriages when I decided to research natural supplements to boost fertility. I suspsected a Luteal Phase defect and had awful periods. I started drinking your tea and my very next cycle was dramatically different! I conceived my daughter within just three cycles of starting your tea! The difference in my lining was significant and I fully credit your tea to the results. I've already passed the leftovers on to my sister who is having similar problems. Thank you for such a great product!

So tasty!
by Elizabeth on Feb 18, 2010

This tea blend is so tasty! I drank Red Raspberry leaf during my first pregnancy. Had a very fast and smooth labor/natural birth. Heal up time afterwards was quick too! I drank this blend religiously with my second baby who was later born in record time! Thank you for making this available! Love it!

Another Birth Success Story
by Angel on Jan 21, 2010

We just had our beautiful baby boy two days ago; and I have to tell you that it was the most amazing, quick, beautiful, natural labor I have ever experienced (this one is our 5th natural childbirth). Surely many things contributed to our wonderful birthing experience, first being God's great strength and mercy. Also the Husband-Coached Childbirth book and learning proper breathing, as well as having a great coach, midwife, support system and plan.

But one thing I believe contributed enormously to it all was the Red Raspberry Brew. I drank a quart a day (my own tolerable level--more or less for others) of this tea, with honey, for the entire pregnancy. The actual health of the baby and myself during pregnancy was great. I never had any water retention, and my energy and hormone levels were very stable. Also the progression of labor, and the effectiveness of each contraction during labor was amazing. Although my "due date" was Jan. 7, I naturally went into labor on my own (without inducing with herbs or anything at all) 6 days later. I went to the hospital at 10 pm, and was dilated to 5; and was fully dilated and pushed out our biggest baby at 11:46pm (only 3-4 pushes!) Honestly, I was still in my right mind, not believing I had just had a baby!

Thank you for the knowledge you share on your website to be able to make our lives and the seasons of our lives better!!!

Drinking "My" Tea
by Dr and Mrs Ash May on Jan 20, 2010

I am a long time happy customer of yours. I wrote to you telling about my extremely difficult first labor, and my hopes for a better second one.

During my second pregnancy, I regularly drank Mama's Red Rasberry Brew (1-3 cups a day.) Well, I am thrilled to report that my labor and delivery were fantastic!!!! Only 7 hours of manageable active labor- I was able to labor completely naturally at home with only my husband's support and calm breathing. Then, my son came with only one push! Halleluia! It was truly a miracle- brought on by God's grace and your Mama's Red Rasberry Brew. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!

My family bought your New Baby Kit for me- and I have been really loving it. I am using Mama's Red Rasberry Brew to strengthen my uterus back up- and I can tell when I forget to drink it for a while- I will start bleeding again, and my husband chides me "you haven't been drinking your tea" :-) I love your products, and can't wait until I can buy more!!!!

Boosts overall well-being in pregnancy
by Angel on Nov 10, 2009

My experience with Red Raspberry leaf was all in hindsight...meaning I didn't realized that it helped me at the time!

I took red raspberry leaf with our 4th pregnancy (in 2008), though not too consistently. During my third trimester, though, I used it almost daily. I went into labor two weeks before my due date, and made a giant to-go cup with me to bring as I drove to meet my midwife. I chugged that almost 2 quart thing of tea within an hour that afternoon, and by early evening my labor completely stopped. I always wondered how and why it stopped after being supposedly so real. After doing more research, I realized that drinking the red raspberry leaf tea beforehand stopped my false labor! I actually had my baby 4 days past my "due date" :)

This pregnancy, I have been drinking a quart a day from the beginning (the Mama's Red Raspberry Brew), which is about 3 big glasses a day (sometimes more). I have more energy this pregnancy, seem to have stayed healthier, and am able to run around, homeschool and take care of our home without being depleted when my hubby gets home.

Also, I have seasonal depression in the winter/dark months which starts to creep up in the fall, and becomes a dark cloud over me for about 4 months. This is the first time I have enjoyed seeing the leaves fall, and I am truly looking forward to the winter months. That is a first for me! The vitamins and minerals in the tea, I believe, have contributed to it.

God Bless and Thank you so much!

Add Cinnamon

Helps with Pregnancy
by Amy in Maine on Oct 1, 2009

I absolutely love this tea! I’d heard about red raspberry leaves helping with pregnancy and delivery, but only used it sporadically. I always had very long labors. Finally, with my 5th baby I decided to drink Mama’s Red Raspberry brew every single day of my pregnancy. I had less morning sickness, less contractions during pregnancy, and my labor lasted only 4 hours! Thanks for providing quality herbs and information to help us use them. (For the person who requested the mix without peppermint…I suggest buying the herbs separate and making your own mix. The Bulk Herb Store tells you the proportions of herbs to mix.)

It doesn't need honey!

...I am also enjoying your "Mama's Red Raspberry Blend" tea. Just delicious. It doesn't need any honey-it is perfect the way it is.

Thank you!!

A Very Tasty Tea
by Jennifer May on Jun 2, 2009

My husband just ordered me Mama's Red Raspberry Brews, with instructions to drink several cups a day. (I have been having some difficulty with my second pregnancy). I was hesitant because I am not very reliable if my "medicine" tastes bad. Well, I received my tea yesterday and was so pleasantly surprised to find out how tasty it is! I made up a huge pitcher and will keep it filled in the fridge for the remainder of this pregnancy. I am praying that it strengthens my uterus for this upcoming labor... I will keep you informed. Thank you again, for great products and a very tasty tea- now it will be a pleasure to do as the doctor (my husband) ordered! Blessings!

What is variety is the red rasberry?
by Sarah on Nov 30, 2006

I was reading in a book you recommend, "The Naturally Healthy Pregnancy", and it said to be careful of the Rubus idaeus variety of red raspberry leaves. I have had 2 miscarriages in the past with a baby born in between. My husbnad and I are planning on trying again. Our son was born c-section, and then a miscarriage and my body is having a hard time recovering. In the book women who had repeated miscarriages were cautioned not to take Rubus idaeus. Do you have any suggestions in this area and what is the variety of red raspberry you carry?

red raspberry without the pepermint

I would buy it without the pepermint if it was offered. I was told pepermint can decrease your breast milk. I am nuring but am very interested in the raspberry brew.

Sounds good, I have a question though!
by Margaret on Sep 24, 2006

I am planning to order the Mama's brew shortly, but I have been wondering about something.

I have heard that alfalfa is useful in preventing excess bleeding after birth, and as I hemorrhaged a good deal after my second child was born (probably due to an overextended uterus, he was 10 lbs!), I am very much hoping this is true.
Any thoughts? Or are there other herbs with an anti-hemorrhage quality that i might try during this pregnancy?

Re: Sounds good, I have a question though!
by Bulk Herb Store on Sep 25, 2006

Alfalfa does have some blood clotting properties. For that reason, you may want to consider consuming it. Red Raspberry, however, is THE herb for preparing the uterus to deliver, and for recovery after the birth. If excessive bleeding occurs during or after the birth, Cayenne is the herb we'd use.

I drank this tea faithfully for my second pregnancy and what a difference in labor. It went so smoothly and with much less pain. Red Raspberry Brew
by Barbara Siron on Aug 23, 2006

Hello again!
I would like to know if I could get the brew without the peppermint. My husband and I both love raspberry tea (herbal from the grocery store-your is going to be much cheaper in long run) I love peppermint but he does not. How about it? I buy raspberry tea a lot and would love to try yours, without the peppermint.
Thanks, again!

    Re: Red Raspberry Brew

This may be a good idea. However, in order for us to offer it, we'd need to know there is a substantial interest in such a mix or variation (at least more than one request). The batches of the premixed remedies are quite large, therefore we cannot make one just for one or a few customers.

Please, take a moment and comment on this product.
