fabulous book!

This book is amazing! Clear layout, with chapters detailing all the hows and whys of ingredients used so there is no need to go hunting in other books to find why a certain thing is used. Calls often for herbs combined with essential oils, but unlike the author's other (newer) book on healing recipes, Organic Body Care Recipes works out to provide very cost effective solutions with not-too-rare ingredients. I have already shown this to several friends who have used the skin assessments to find out the recipes best for them, and been able to back away from more expensive chemical-laden products. In particular, two insect repellant recipes are included, a body oil and a salve, and both work like a dream -- I get eaten alive without significant protection, and while 4 Thieves + garlic vinegar works well, we call it "pickle juice" because it smells so bad! Pleasantly fragranced alternatives are great. Also, the homemade essential oils shampoo really works for rebalancing sebum -- I now only need to cleanse my hair once in 5 days, which is much better for me. I will be hosting a ladies' spa party next month, laying out ingredients and letting the girls all put together recipes from the book, so keep this in stock as you might get a few new orders! :)

My new cosmetic line

My best friends gave me a gift certificate for Bulk Herb Store, knowing I loved their products. I settled on a book, one I had been eying for some time! This book has been instrumental in the development of our new, natural, homemade cosmetic line we are about to launch! Thanks to the Organic Body Care Recipes book!

I have already started making some stuff for my hair & use simple coconut oil for my moisturizer at night. This book sounds fantastic to keep learning more.

I am a Registered Nurse, and have always believed that there was a better way to treat my children. My husband and I have always been very leery of antibiotics because I have seen and knew the overuse of them. You have given me a wonderful way to treat my family and to show them I love them. I am just now getting started and the first thing I did was to treat my 5yr old's sore throat with garlic "tea". She only drank a little (because she said it tasted bad) before bed. When she woke up the next morning, her sore throat was GONE!!!!! Again, thank you so much!! God Bless You.
