Pregnancy & safety raw honey use?
by Anonymous on Mar 16, 2014

My daughter is about 2 mos pregnant, has had chronic asthma & now has head& chest cold. We are looking at herbs with caution (ruling out our usual solutions one by one!) & coming to conclusion raw honey & garlic may be her best bet. However I see the precautions for use with young children. Is it safe to use in pregnancy? And, what, if any other antibiotic-antiviral, lung-supporting herbs are safe to use during pregnancy? Thank you so much, we have benefited greatly from the information & products here! Gramma's medicine chest & 'concoctions' are looked at with much more respect these days! LOL ...God bless.

    Hello,
Honey would be just fine for her to take while pregnant. It's not recommended to give to young children as they can develop an allergy to it, but while she's pregnant it's just fine! She could also try a steam of Mullein. Just boil a pot of water take it off of the heat and add a handful or two of mullein; breathe in the steam and that helps to clear the lungs as well. If she has any further questions, a midwife would probably be able to help greatly. Thanks!

Toddlers and Honey

How young are your children when you give them honey? Is it less serious with Raw Honey?

Hello, we recommend not giving honey to children until they are 1-2 years old. However I would recommend that you consult your pediatrician. It would not be any different with raw honey than with normal honey. Thanks!

For coffee?
by Emily on Nov 28, 2013

Is this type of honey easily dissolved in coffee? That is our primary use for honey, and the secondary use is for cooking.

    Hello!
Yes, we use it for sweetening our coffee as well! It will easily dissolve into hot coffee. Thanks!

Heals burns overnight!
by Karyn on Jan 31, 2011

I was reading about Raw Honey on your website and happen to read the article "Honey, do you love me?" by Rebekah Joy Anast. Little did I know that I would have a similar situation with my husband. He had burned his hand over Christmas, right on his palm. By the following Tuesday he showed it to me right before we went to bed, it was clearly infected with a two inch red line working its way up to his wrist, he also had paid. He told me he needs to go to the doctor. I told him to put raw honey on it. He just laughed. Then I shared Rebekah's story about her husband's infection. He said "O.K. put some on". So that's exactly what I did, I smeared honey on and wrapped it in gauze. The next morning I woke up to him exclaiming "NO WAY! THE PAIN IS GONE AND SO IS THE RED LINE!" It healed up real quickly after that. And of course I had to say "See, I told you." : ) He now believes in raw honey. That was the first time I actually saw honey at work. It was an exciting experience, I could hardly contain myself.

Thanks again!

I came across your ad in Mary Jane's Farm recently, and thought I'd check out your website. I was very happy to see that your values mirror my own. It was wonderful to see that you support Christian missions.

I was also impressed with your prices, but honestly thought perhaps the quality would not be as good.

I have to say, I was more than pleasantly surprised. First of all, I ordered late Monday evening, and received it on Thursday! However, what impressed me the most were the lavender flowers. I don't care for lavender--at least until now. The flowers were so fragrant that I could smell them before I picked up the box off my front step. Once I brought them in, my whole house was filled with such a wonderful aroma. Unbelievably, I could still smell the lavender even a couple of hours after I'd put them away. I have ordered lavender from other suppliers, and was not impressed. I am with yours, though.

In this age of inferior products and poor customer service, it is refreshing to do business with a company such as yours. You have definitely won a loyal customer. I am on quite a few herbal and soapmaking lists, and I will definitely be recommending your company.

Warmly,
