Great addition to vitamin tea!
by Rachel G. on Oct 11, 2014

I love the quality of your herbs, and your Rose Hips are no exception :)
I often grind these up in an old Krupps brand coffee grinder I inherited from my parents. It works great. I add these along with some ground fennel seed and bee pollen to my smoothies.
I also love to throw a few of these into my Tea Strainer Basket that I purchased from BHS,along with Oatstraw,Lemon Balm,Spearmint,Alfalfa,Crumbled Ceylon Cinnamon Bark and a little licorice root to sweeten. It makes a great tea! I love the Vitamin C boost :)

Product inquiry

I was uncertain which Rose Hips to purchase. I ordered and have received these. Now that I am further reading...can these be used for tea? Should they be processed in some way (if bake to do so) or used as is. I would like to make ASAP as so for pregnancy related <3

    Hello,
You can definitely just use these as is! Just add them to a tea blend you like, or make a tea out of them exclusively, your good either way! Thanks!

I came across a elderberry syrup recipe with rose hips in it..I'm assuming for the vitamin c..and bc you can use it as often as you want unlike Echinacea from what I'm reading on your site..my question is it safe for children..infant on up..and while pregnant or nursing

    Hello,
Yes, you can take rose hips while pregnant an nursing and give to children as well. You would need to research the amount of vitamin C per serving in rose hips. They are high in vitamin C so it a great natural way to get it! Thanks!

Rose Hips in Smoothies
by lynda on May 27, 2013

I make my morning protein smoothie with a variety of ingredients, varying my drink so it doesn't get boring. I add some rose hips in to boost the Vitamin C. It goes really well with frozen cherries.

If I want to take the rosť hips in a capsule, would I put the cut rose hips in a blender or food processer and make a powder before encapsulating?
