Size "0"

  • Approx. 1000 gel caps
  • Size "0" is the industry standard and most popular size used for capsulated products.
    Gelatin source: kosher beef, sulfite free.
  • Size "0" is about 50% smaller than size "00" and is close to the size of a nickel.
  • Each "0" capsule will hold 400 mg - 800 mg or so (5,000 mg = 1 teaspoon), depending on the powder and whether or not you use a Tamper when filling the capsules. Heavy and dense powders, such as Bentonite clay, Kelp and Spirulina, will be closer to the 800 mg range in one "0" capsule. Light and fluffy powders, such as Slippery Elm and Eleuthero root, will be closer to the 400 mg range in one "0" capsule. Of course, using a Tamper will drastically increase the amount that will fit into each capsule.

Size "00"

  • Approx. 450 - 500 gel caps
  • Gelatin source: kosher beef, sulfite free.
  • Size "00" is about 50% larger than size "0" and is nearly the size of a quarter.
  • Each "00" capsule will hold 550 mg - 1,100 mg or so (5,000 mg = 1 teaspoon), depending on the powder and whether or not you use a Tamper when filling the capsules. Heavy and dense powders, such as Bentonite clay, Kelp and Spirulina, will be closer to the 1,100 mg range in one "0" capsule. Light and fluffy powders, such as Slippery Elm and Eleuthero root, will be closer to the 550 mg range in one "0" capsule. Of course, using a Tamper will drastically increase the amount that will fit into each capsule.
  • Because none of us have a hard time swallowing capsules, this is our favorite size for use in our home. Someone that does not like to swallow capsules may prefer the smaller sized "0".

Hi, I just wanted to share with you a testimony about how I was able to help someone with the comfrey herb that I bought from you. A friend came over with a really bruised and swollen knee from falling on it that day. She said she couldn't stay long, because she needed to get to the Urgent Care center for treatment on her knee. I remembered I had ordered some Comfrey in my last order and stuck it in the freezer "just in case", so I asked her if she would let me try it on her to see if it works. Since I'm new to herbs I was looking for a chance to try some of my new herbs on someone. She agreed to be my guinea pig. So, I made a poultice and she held it on her knee all evening during our meeting. I gave her some more to use at home with instructions on how to make the poultice.
