About Us
When I (Shoshanna) was growing up, herbs were like tomatoes. We grew them. We put them up for the winter. We used them daily, and gave concoctions away to other people in need of them. My mother, Debi Pearl, was always teaching us. If we were weeding the garden, she would be constantly talking about which weeds were herbs and what the herbs could do. If there came a question she could not answer, we would look it up in our books or at the local library. She instilled in me a passion to learn and create.
By the time I was 13 my family started the Bulk Herb Store. I worked in it until I was 18 and made it my own. Learning and experimenting all the time, I came up with a salve that worked better than anything I had ever used. I made lots of it and sent it with missionaries overseas. In distant corners of the world where they had no medicine, they used this green salve, and the results were astounding. I called it Eden Salve and started selling it. Today it is one of our best sellers.
Eight years have passed since then, and my wonderful husband James and I still run the Bulk Herb Store together. Our son Jeremiah James helps the office workers pull your orders. At four years old, Jeremiah already can go outside, gather herbs in the wild and know what they are good for. He doesn't even know he's growing into a little herbalist, but he is!
Over the years my mom and I have worked up many recipes, some for us and some for others. At the Bulk Herb Store we provide you our homemade concoctions, our experiences, and the tested wisdom of others. You can learn from our mistakes and benefit from our successes. We want to do more than sell quality herbs. We want to teach you what we know and inspire you to learn and research beyond that. There is always a tincture being made or a brew brewing at my house. It is fun, easy, and above all, a great way to keep your family healthy.
