Chocolate Drops

Sometimes, it doesn't matter what the question is, the answer is simply- CHOCOLATE! I love chocolate just as much as you do, so I came up with a savory recipe that you and I can both enjoy, guilt free! Checkout my Making Babies Book for more melt-in-your-mouth recipes.

Chocolate Drops Recipe
Prep: 10 min. Chill: 45 min. Yield: 16

1 cup coconut oil
½ cup Organic Honey
¼ cup cocoa powder
½ cup pecans or walnuts, chopped
½ cup coconut flakes, (optional)

1. Place all ingredients in a food processor, and blend until combined.

2. Drop small spoonfuls of chocolate mixture onto wax paper. Chill in the freezer for 45 minutes.

3. Once chilled, enjoy a chocolate bite of heaven!

I want to thank you for the great Chocolate Drop Recipe. My three young children and I are eating no refined sugar for 30 days (I'll probably go longer) and I've been looking for some sweet treats we could make that use only Honey, fruit, or maple syrup as the sweetener. I've also been trying to figure out a way to get coconut oil in my kids. The drops are a hit! And they help me with my sweet cravings. We have some tree nut allergies so first I just used the oil, honey and cocoa. My pickiest child just loves them and told me she likes them better than "regular chocolate." She keeps asking me for them! I've experimented a little and just now I made a batch with half honey and half maple syrup and we really like the results. I have also made one batch using chunky peanut butter mixed in and those are my favorite. Even when we aren't doing a "sugar free" month I am going to keep those in my freezer as a healthy and very yummy sweet treat. Thanks for giving us such a great and healthy treat!

They [our herb books] are comprehensive, detailed and well organized so I can start doing a much more effective job coming up with herbal answers than I could before. Oh, and flipping through the pages sends up wafts of Lavender here, Peppermint there, Mmmm! From now on I need to remember always to include herbs with any books we buy from you! Nice touch.
