3. I love your store! I have been very happy with the prices on your herbs, and books as well as the products themselves. Practical Herbalism is one of my favorites, allowing me to successfully treat my husband (who was a skeptic) and his gout. It is exciting to be able to take a few common herbs (formerly known as weeds!) and be able to do good for others. I like having the resources at my fingertips so we don't have to run to the doctor for every issue. I have also had successes with The Immune Booster tincture recipe, and by following advice in The ABC Herbal and The How to Herb Book. I am currently making a Catnip and Fennel tincture for my 7 week-old for his gassy times. Anyhow, thank you for the book recommendations on your website. I tell people about your site whenever I can!

5. Dear ones: Thank you so much for providing the opportunity to buy books and herbs at reasonable prices, along with the good information you have provided on this website. Using the books you provided, I was able to make a salve for my 3 year-old daughter which actually tames an itchy, red, dry rash on her hands that has plagued her for two years. I used the information you provided, along with the information from the books I ordered from you, and then herbs from my garden and woods to make this "healthy skin salve" (that's what our family calls it - we've all become believers after each of us has benefited from it!). I have long been frustrated with her rashes and have found nothing over-the-counter to actually diminish it, and eliminate the pain and itching. I thank the Lord for you and for his healing plants!

6. First, I just want to say, thank you. I have made a few orders from BHS, and have been just thrilled with the herbs and books. My husband thinks it's great too. I have only been doing the "herbal thing" for a few months, and was actually excited for one of the kids to get sick, so I could try a few things out on them. Well, recently, all 4 of our children caught the flu, and I treated them using herbs, probiotics, baths and poultices. They recovered SO quickly! The next week, hubby got a cold and I asked him if I could mix something up for him. He said that after seeing how the kids responded to their herbal treatments, that he would take anything I had to give him! Well, I made what we have since dubbed 'the powerhouse' ( Echinacea, goldenseal, Yarrow and Cayenne), and that cleared him up right quick! Thank you so much for helping me to be confident and take responsibility for my family's healthcare.

10. I have been using The Immune Booster tincture successfully for fever. When someone runs a fever, we start giving a dropperful or so every hour until it is down. Then, we decrease to every 3-4 hours. This has worked many times. Thanks for the recipe.

I loved the book Created To Be His Helpmeet. I thought the book Nourishing Traditions was so insightful, I have lots to read still, but I am a busy mother of three, and have only read bits and pieces here and there. 15. I love your website! I've always hated relying on "allopathic" medicine. But if a doctor prescribed say, an antibiotic for my child's eye infection, even though I didn't like the possible long-term effects of the antibiotics, I always felt like I better go ahead and give it to him so I wouldn't risk damaging his eye, just because I didn't know what else to do. I am so happy I can now work toward building up my own knowledge so I can be responsible for the health of my own family.
I thought using herbs was some mysterious science and that a person would have to pay a lot of money to a supposed natural doctor whom they weren't sure if they could trust if they wanted to know how to use herbs. So, thank you!

22. I am a Registered Nurse, and have always believed that there was a better way to treat my children. My husband and I have always been very leery of antibiotics because I have seen and knew the overuse of them. You have given me a wonderful way to treat my family and to show them I love them. I am just now getting started and the first thing I did was to treat my 5yr old's sore throat with garlic "tea". She only drank a little (because she said it tasted bad) before bed. 25. I love your herbs! And I have never tasted better Peppermint. I've started mixing teas for friends, and they love your herbs, too. :) My kids (almost 3 and almost 2) caught a cold at church a few weeks ago, and I've been giving them plain peppermint tea to help clear their noses when they get too stuffy. They think it's the best treat, and love it. My daughter especially loves the Sleepy Time Tea with Chamomile flowers. It's become our nightly 'thing' to have a cup of tea and read a bedtime or Bible story. Also, the Nutritional Herbology book has been of great help to me, and since I've started using Red Raspberry in most of my teas, my not-so-fun monthly female cramps have almost disappeared! Thank you so much for offering your herbs at such wonderful prices. I can't find better prices anywhere.

28. They [our herb books] are comprehensive, detailed and well organized so I can start doing a much more effective job coming up with herbal answers than I could before. Oh, and flipping through the pages sends up wafts of Lavender here, Peppermint there, Mmmm! From now on I need to remember always to include herbs with any books we buy from you! Nice touch. As for the water filter, well, yippee yahoo is all I can say, besides maybe that finally I'm relieved to know that we're okay on water, wherever we go (so, yippee, yahoo and phew!).
