Water Filter
This water filter has for many years provided us, folks from our community and many of our customers with fresh clean water.
Accessories
One of our first experiences with the medicinal properties of herbs was through capsules. Encapsulated herbs are a very convenient way to ingest their goodness anywhere at anytime. Using the accessories listed below, we have filled thousands of capsules for our own use. They are perfect for some emergecies, and occasions when a tea or tincture is not available.

Books
Some folks think we know a thing or two about home remedies and herbs. The fact is, almost all that we know, we learned from our books. Without them, we would be lost. It's awesome to read up on a new remedy, and go in the kitchen and try it. More than that, we love to modify the recipe to make it more effective or affordable. The details the books provide on each herb will inspire you to many exciting learning discoveries.
So, don't shoot in the dark. Take advantage of the books that we offer. The more you read, the more confidently you'll use the herbs. Out of the dozens of herb books in our little office, only a few have we found helpful. Here they are. We've also included some books on eating healthy and such.
Premixed Remedies
These are some of our favorite home remedies. Each mixture includes all the herbs in the recipe. Here you have the recipes, and the directions we follow when preparing them. We hope you use our directions only as an example, and in time, prepare and improve them whatever way works best for you.
Herbs
These herbs have been a part of our lives for many years. We have reaped the benefits of their healing time and time again. They have served us in the occasional emergency, but mostly as daily nutritional supplements. Their nutritional properties have kept at bay sickness while others around us have been down and out. These loose leaf herbs can be easily made into teas, tinctures, ointments, poultices or whatever your needs may call for.

Thanks for replying, Kate! Yes i will look into researching those herbs to hopefully help her. I purchased quite a few number of herbal books recommended by BHS before heading over here and many of them have been very helpful. Many of the Filipinos are fond of using herbs up here on the mountains and even grow some on their gardens but the sad part is that they have very little knowledge of it's benefits and many uses. I lent her three herbal books, Practical Herbalism, Growing 101 Herbs...and The How to Herb book. She was so happy to see pictures of the herbs she has in her own garden and that she can finally label each one and learn of it's advantage and hopefully put it to it's proper use.
Mountains of thanks to BHS!

Did You Know?
The daily sprinkling of a little Cayenne powder on the toothpaste on your toothbrush can work miracles in fighting/preventing gums disease. That's right. It will also help deal with other oral ailments that plague many folks these days. After reading about this, we just had to try it. There is a warm sensation in your mouth as you brush your teeth, but it soon disappears after rinsing. As usual, whenever using Cayenne powder, one should start with very small amounts to allow the body some time to build up a tolerance. The first few times we used it, we sprinkled so little of the powder on the toothpaste that we didn't feel anything. As the days progressed, we increased the amounts slightly until we felt it was warm enough. After using it for a little while, the nice feeling in your mouth is very satisfying. Be warned, however, you do not want to over do this one, so start small.
