All the books and speakers I'd come into contact with on the subject would give a long, glowing list of an herbs wonderful uses, but skip the "how to part." Your site is designed so beautifully, easy to navigate, and it provides so much useful information about what to do with all these wonderful herbs God gave us. It's given me the resources and confidence I needed to begin my journey using herbs for the health and healing of my family, and I'm so grateful.

68. I purchased quite a few herbal books recommended by BHS before heading over here and many of them have been very helpful. Many of the Filipinos are fond of using herbs up here on the mountains and even grow some in their gardens. I lent a friend three herbal books- Practical Herbalism, Growing 101 Herbs and The How to Herb book. She was so happy to see pictures of the herbs she has in her own garden and that she can finally label each one and learn of its advantage and hopefully put it to proper use. could still smell it! I can't wait to use them and I will definitely be ordering more from you.
I also wanted to thank you for the information you have about garlic. My son started getting a cough with chest congestion. I began giving him a crushed clove mixed into lemon juice and honey 3 times a day. In two days he was better! He has gotten it before and it seems to linger for weeks! I also started feeling the flu coming on not to long ago, I did the same thing and in two days my aches, fever, and sore throat were gone! Thank you so much for sharing that info with us.

88. I live on a Greek island and there is such an abundance of herbs growing wild! However,I don't really know what they all do and how to best use them. Thanks for this fantastic site which I discovered through NGJ! I would like
to give all mamas a healthy alternative to baby lotion.
Heat 2 cups of good quality olive oil with a handful of chamomile flowers (dried) and pour in a jar and allow to cool. Store in glass for future use. I use it on the children after their bath by massaging and they warm up in seconds! It also seems to help in healing cuts and abrasions.
Did you know that chamomile actually means apple of the ground in Greek (because of its apple-like smell)?
