Pnemonia

by Valerie G.

October 2006

I just had to share with you how God used herbs and natural products to heal my son.

He had a severe sore throat Monday night. My husband had him gargle with salt water and I gave him the Immune Booster tea ( echinacea root and tops, peppermint and nettle), crushed garlic with honey, and homemade chicken soup.

Tuesday morning he had a runny nose and a cough. I continued with the Immune Booster tea and garlic/honey, but also rubbed garlic oil on his chest and put a warm, damp cloth over it. Then I had him breathe steam with chamomile and chopped garlic.

I wasn't too concerned yet because my daughter had had the flu and she had recovered fine except a slight lingering cough.

Later that morning, he began vomiting. I gave him a probiotic capsule. He was able to keep it down and that put an end to the vomiting, but his other symptoms continued to get worse.

By that night, he had a fever, his heart was pounding, he was breathing rapidly, and complaining that it hurt to breathe and his back hurt when he moved. Finally, I realized we were dealing with something more serious.

I looked up the symptoms for pneumonia online and, sure enough, my son had all 17 symptoms that were listed. Okay, time to get serious.

I called for prayer support. My husband pinned a tent of blankets around my son's bunk bed and got out the vaporizer. I loaded it with garlic water and colloidal silver and made myself a bed on the floor in his room.

Wednesday morning (today), he wanted to know what was for breakfast. Other than a cough and a slightly painful ear, he felt fine. I gave him another garlic rub, more garlic with honey, Immune Booster tea, and another steam. I put a few drops of warm garlic oil in the ear.

It is now afternoon and he is doing wonderful, although I will continue treating him for several days after all symptoms are gone.

I am new to herbaling and just a few months ago I would not have had any idea what to do in such a situation. And although I was afraid and lacked confidence, I feel as if God has been preparing me for this.

Our God and His healing herbs are truly amazing!

Did You Know?

Cayenne powder has been used by researchers in Antarctica to help them bear the extremely cold temperatures. The cayenne powder is sprinkled into their boots before putting them on. As the powder slowly comes in contact with the skin through the socks, it will draw blood to the feet, thus bringing much needed warms to the extremities. The one draw back is the red powder stains light colored socks. From our readings, it seems the stained socks were a small price to pay for the great benefit of being able to feel your toes after a little while out in the blistering cold! After trying this on a number of occasions during the winter near Lake Superior, I'm also convinced the stained socks are worth it.
