Making Herbal Christmas Ornaments, Gifts, and Cards

Christmas is a great time of the year to show others how much they mean to you. One of the best ways you can do that is by making homemade gifts to give to others. Today, I'm sharing several different ways you can make homemade Christmas ornaments, gifts, and decor using herbs. Keep them for yourself or share them with friends and family.

Great Christmas Gift Ideas

Here is a video of Hannah and Matty showing a few of the herbal Christmas creations we made this year. Tea and Biscuits While we Create Our Masterpieces The tea is a simple blend of: ~Sweeten with honey, coconut sugar or stevia. Here is the link to the recipe for the biscuits.

Homemade Christmas Cards

We made Christmas tree cardstock ornaments dressed with different herbs like bay leaves, berries and cinnamon. They smell so yummy! We also did a few greeting cards using herb art. We used Elmer's glue, some ribbon and lace on cardstock paper. Who doesn't love a handmade greeting card that smells lovely? Last we made little herb globes. They are made from empty plastic ornaments we found at Walmart and we filled them with some of our favorite herbs. Perfect for the culinary lover in your family or anyone who loves herbs (like me!). Here's one featured on the blog last month full of herbs for an herbal tea!
  • Cardstock
  • Lace
  • Variety of Herbs (See List Below)
  • Elmer’s glue
  • Markers, Crayons or Colored Pencils
  • Plastic Globes
Here is a list of some the herbs we used in our projects: The most important thing to remember is to have fun making and giving herbal gifts then sharing them with others. Merry Christmas!
