By Hannah Stoll - March 24, 2014
The beauty industry has become one of the biggest money-makers in the world. Millions upon millions of dollars are spent by women every year on beautifying cosmetics. Everyone wants to look and feel beautiful! Unfortunately, so many of the beauty products that we use everyday are full of harmful chemicals. The skin is the largest organ in the body, and absorbs everything like a giant sponge...which is why we should all be avoiding chemical cosmetics like the plague! Most of the time, high-quality, chemical-free body care and makeup products have a very high price-tag. So why not make your skin and your wallet happy by making your own makeup? It’s fun, easy and specially tailored by you, for you! Yesterday was a day of experimentation for me. I made natural eyeshadow in my own kitchen... With herbs! Not surprisingly, these herbal ingredients are beneficial to my skin, supporting circulation and youthfulness, the natural way.Arrowroot is used as the base in this herbal eye shadow recipe. By combining different Herbal Powders you can create beautiful colors all customized to best suite your natural beauty! Mix and match, and don’t necessarily stick to our measurements! If you are a hot pink kind of girl, add extra Beet Root Powder to our recipe. If you want a darker brown, add more cocoa powder. The rainbow of colors and shades are endless! A few color suggestions to get you started...
