Calendula Sugar Scrub

Calendula Sugar Scrub

Feel like your skin needs a good refreshing and natural exfoliating experience?

This easy to whip up recipe features Calendula Flowers and will be a versatile scrub to keep in your shower for a refreshing routine!

1/4 cup coconut oil

1/4 cup olive oil

1 Tablespoon dried Calendula or 3 Tablespoons fresh

3/4 cup raw sugar

1/2 cup coarse Kosher salt

4-6 drops essential oil of choice- optional, I used our Lavender Fine oil

You will need a double boiler set up and add an inch of water in the bottom.  In the top combine the Calendula petals and the oils.

Heat and keep warm for 20 minutes.  The oil should be warm but not frying the petals.  Remove from the heat and allow the oils to come to room temperature.

Mix the salt and sugar together.

Add the room temperature oil and petals.

Take essential oil of choice (Our Lavender is linked) and add 4-6 drops and mix thoroughly.

Store in an airtight container and use within 2 months.

The oils also might separate, and the scrub need to be stirred or shaken before using.

Just slather it onto your wet skin, rub well and rinse off!  We hope you enjoy this easy and natural self care recipe!
