Homemade Spaghetti Sauce

Homemade Spaghetti Sauce

I love this time of year, when fresh produce and herbs are coming in from the garden....

Cooking with fresh ingredients just tastes and hits different and I love it!

I also happen to be a fan of Italian food and one of my favorites is a secret family recipe that we have used for about as long as I can remember.  In my house growing up, as my sister got older, she became the absolute best at making this recipe and to this day I messaged her to ask for it.  Some things never change:)

This is a secret sauce, quite literally, and once you get it simmering on your stove and that aroma begins to fill your house......oh my goodness!

We are featuring our very own Italian Seasoning Blend in this recipe and encourage you to go out to the garden and harvest that fresh basil and tomatoes to elevate the wow factor even more!

x4 15 oz cans of tomatoe sauce (or make your own from fresh tomatoes)

2 HEAPING teaspoons of minced garlic

2 bay leaves

4 teaspoons sugar

2 teaspoons salt

1 teaspoon pepper

4 teaspoons Italian Seasoning Blend (add more as needed)

Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan and put on medium heat to bring to a simmer.

Allow to simmer, thicken and let the seasonings become more pungent and aromatic.

Prep your noodles and serve while noodles are hot and fresh!  Enoy this loved family recipe from my home to yours.
