This tropical smoothie just might give you the island time you at needing!
It certainly is bursting with color and benefits!
This is a great way to slip some nutrients using phycocyanin into your diet while still tasting great and looking like a work or culinary art. This delicious smoothie is sure to make you feel like you are on a beach sipping a tropical drink with those blue waves hitting your feet!
Word of caution, Phycocyanin will stain things a vibrant blue, so careful with clothes, manicured nails and such that you are not wanting to turn into a bright indigo work of art!
Makes 1 large glass
1 Medium Banana
1 Cup Frozen Pineapple
1 Cup Frozen Blueberries
3/4 Cup Coconut Yogurt (I used Blueberry)
1/2 Cup Coconut or Almond Milk
1 Tablespoon Phycocyanin
1/3 Cup Raw Walnuts
Drop all ingredients in blender! Add ice cubes if you want it a bit slushy.
Serve up in a glass and garnish with your favorite toppings!
You can also have fun with this and make it a smoothie bowl! It's beautiful and you can also add even more delicious toppings!
