Cinnamon is a food and a spice harvested from the inner bark of the Cinnamomum tree. Cinnamon sticks are commonly added to spiced cider, or soups and stews to boost flavor.

Along with being a delicious addition to sweet and savory dishes alike, this popular spice also boasts both antibacterial and antifungal properties. It may possibly help relieve and support the following: anxiety, stress, fatigue, blood pressure, circulation, digestion, and blood sugar levels.

Cinnamon acts as a tonic to the entire body. It promotes sweating, increases blood circulation, increases the production of digestive fluids, relieves smooth muscle spasms, and increase the flow of urine. Externally, it can be used as a tea or powder for vaginal infections. In the digestive system, it helps with weak digestion, colic, griping, diarrhea, nausea and vomiting. Cinnamon can also act as a relaxant, reducing anxiety and stress. It has strong volatile oils that are a potent antibacterial, antifungal and even a uterine stimulant.

  • This is not like the Cinnamon you may find on a spice rack in a supermarket. This is much fresher and more effective.
  • We use it very often in tea and tincture combinations. Of course, it can be used in many other types of remedies. Most often we add it to other remedies (especially tinctures) to make them taste better.
  • Chewing on a few sticks after a meal is a great way to neutralize the germs that cause cavities. They also freshen your breath, and are a digestive aid. We love it!
  • Cinnamon is a food and spice. Thus, we keep it in the kitchen as all other food ingredients. We add it to many dishes (hot cereals, meat dishes, deserts, stir fry, vegetables, etc.) to enhance the flavor and add nutritional value to our foods.
  • Like most spices, Cinnamon is a potent flavor enhancer. Use it often, but a little goes a long way. We find ourselves adding it to more recipes everyday.
  • Cinnamon can be used to benefit anyone: men, women (including before, during or after pregnancy, and nursing), children and animals.
  • It can be used as often as you would like, and in any way you choose.
  • As is the case with most spices, Cinnamon should be stored in a dark, dry, and cool place.

  • Bentonite Clay Toothpaste Recipe

    Try our Bentonite Clay Toothpaste, made with all natural ingredients that you can make at home!



    1. Mix the first four ingredients in a medium saucepan, and simmer 30 minutes. While that’s heating, mix 1 tablespoon baking soda and 1 teaspoon Celtic Sea Salt and set aside.
    2. Next, place 1 cup of Bentonite Clay into a glass bowl. Note: it is important to use a glass bowl and wooden spoon because when the Bentonite Clay gets wet, it sets up an electromagnetic reaction which will absorb the particles inside of a metal bowl, or the toxins out of a plastic one.
    3. Remove saucepan from heat and strain off herbs, catching the liquid in a glass bowl. Slowly add the salt and baking soda mixture. Expect it to foam and bubble. This is the cinnamon and the baking soda reacting to each other. While it is still frothing, pour the liquid mixture into the bowl of Bentonite Clay, and whisk briskly. The foam will start to settle down and a smooth paste should start to form.
    4. Continue to add the remaining Bentonite Clay until the desired consistency is reached. Store in glass jars and avoid any contact with absorbable metals.
    5. That’s it! You’ve just made your own natural toothpaste!

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED ~ To Infuse Your Herbal Oil


    Fill a glass jar 1/3 of the way full with equal parts of each herb. Cover herbs in coconut oil (more easily done if oil is slightly melted). Place lid on jar. Set jar on top of a towel in a crockpot filled with water, on the warm setting for 3 days. Watch water level and be very careful not to pour cool water on a hot jar, as this can cause it to explode. After 3 days, remove the jar from heat, let cool, and strain off herbs. Now you have an Herbal Infused Oil!

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED ~ To Make Herban Face Wash

    • 1/8 cup castile soap, unscented
    • 1/4 cup Infused Herbal Oil
    • 1/4 cup Raw Honey
    • 1/8 cup organic lemon juice
    • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
    • 1 tablespoon vitamin E oil
    • 10 drops essential oils
    • 7 drops grapefruit seed extract


    Mix all ingredients together, bottle, and label. For gifts make your own "Handmade with Love" tag and fasten with a ribbon. Enjoy!

    Follow these three easy steps to create the perfect masterpiece of soothing health-and-happiness-in-a-cup... otherwise known as Tea.



    1. Bring 1 cup water to 208 degrees (almost boiling).
