Not only do rose petals reminisce romance, they also make a colorful addition tossed in salads, sprinkled over desserts and brewed into a pleasant cup of tea.

Breathe in the pleasant, floral sensation of Red Rose Petals, and add a romantic touch to your cooking, teas, natural body care and decorative surroundings. Let the relaxing properties of rose replace your stress and tension with a fresh, delicate fragrance.

Common Name: Red rose

Red Rose Petals are not just decorative or a symbol of love. Red Rose Petals are used for tonics and gargles because of their astringent properties. The oil from the red rose petals is used to relieve headaches, insomnia and nervous tension. The petals contain quercitrin, volatile oils, and coloring agents. Red rose petal tea is mild and quite lovely.

Chef Tip: Toss some red rose petals with fresh fruit and sprinkle with freshly squeezed lime juice. Enjoy!

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED

    • 1 cup (2 sticks) softened butter
    • 1 cup powdered sugar
    • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
    • 15 drops rose absolute essential oil
    • 3 tablespoons Organic Honey
    • 3 tablespoons Red Rose Petals

    • your favorite Bulk Herb Store Tea

    HOW TO MAKE IT...

    1. Cream butter and sugar together with an electric mixer. Add remaining ingredients, one at a time, finishing with the flour and mixing until the dough comes together.
    2. Cover the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 350°.
    3. Roll dough to about 1/4” thick on a well-floured surface. Using a sharp knife, carefully begin to cut small rectangles (about 2”x3” wide). Separate the rectangles and cut 2 corners off of each rectangle, to make a tea bag shape. Use a straw to poke a hole for the tag string, and repeat for remaining tea bags.
    4. Transfer tea bag cookies to a baking sheet and refrigerate cookies for 20 minutes before baking. Bake 10-12 minutes. Let rest on cookie sheet for 2 minutes. Re-poke tag string holes with straw, if necessary, and transfer to cooling rack.
    5. Now for the fun part! Make or use store-bought tags. String tags through punched holes. Brew up your favorite tea to pair with your cookies and enjoy!

  • Herbal Infused Massage Oil

Choose from of our two sensational herbal blends and follow these simple instructions to make a luxurious herbal massage oil.

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED

    Floral Sensation Herbs

    Tropical Paradise Herbs

    • 1 Part Pomegranate Green Tea
    • 1 Part Tropical Black Tea
    • 1/2 Part Orange Peel
    • Coconut, Almond, Grapeseed or Extra Virgin Olive Oil Please note that a “Part” is based on ratio and can be as large or small a measurement as you like, depending on how much oil you would like to make. For example: if you are wanting to make a smaller amount, you can measure each part as a tablespoon. Or if you are wanting to make a larger amount you can measure each part as a cup.

      HOW TO MAKE

Infuse coconut or extra virgin olive oil in a glass jar with the fragrant herbs of your choice (check out our favorite recipes below). Fill the jar 2/3 full of herbs and the rest with oil. Cap tightly and place on top of a cloth in a crock pot filled with water, on the warm setting for three days. The water should be warm to the touch (not boiling), as too much heat will burn the herbs. Keep an eye on the water level, adding more if needed. NEVER pour cold water on a hot jar, extreme temperature changes can cause the jar to burst! After three days, strain and discard the herbs, and bottle the oil.
